The next time you enter a dark wood, take caution. For it might be the very wood an ancient temple of old dwells, along with a disturbed presence.
The next time you enter a dark wood, take caution. For it might be the very wood an ancient temple of old dwells, along with a disturbed presence.
If you do stumble upon such a place, do not enter. But here I will tell you of it so you will not disturb the entity that may dwell within. Its towers, almost as tall of the trees seem to connect with the heavens. While it still somewhat shines with a brilliance as the remaining marble is exposed to the sunlight. Vines and moss now gently caress the towers and steps of this ancient, sacred place. It almost looks as if the plants were meant to be there. Take heed, for do not enter, but if you do know this: Walk gently up the the long stairway leading up to the large, oaken doors. Scared glyphs are carven into the ancient wood and it seems as if each has a story of its own. Oaken doors rough, but still somewhat smooth and heavy against your hand as you push and enter. Instantly a musty fragrance bursts forth as you enter, for no one has entered in many a-century. You may also smell the residue from long ago burnt spices to the one of importance here. Be wary and silent, for even your mere footsteps will echo throughout the many aging corridors and halls. For even though you think you yourself alone, heed my next words, you are not. Even as you stand silent like the many delicately carved statues that linger within the temple. You may hear the agonized whispers of lost entities no one heeds any longer. You also may turn in alarm as you think you felt a hand clasp your shoulder. But when you look, no one lingers in the air behind you. Now that you have heard my warning, beware. Beware of the temple within the wood, for some may still dwell within.
