I did a post like this for my top 10 LOTR quotes and I figured I'd do one for 'The Hobbit' as well. Once again, like in my LOTR post, there are some deep quotes in the Hobbit as well. Tell me your favorite quote and if it isn't on here I will gladly put it in the post for you. Here we go...my ten favs. I probably will put more here once the 3rd movie comes out or I'll probably just re-post it. *Please note these quotes are in no particular order* 1. 'And you don't have one, a home. It was taken from you. But I will help you take it back if I can.' -Bilbo, 'An Unexpected Journey' 2. 'If this is to end in fire, the we will all burn together!' -Thorin, 'The Desolation of Smaug' 3. 'Are we not part of this world? Tell me mellon* when did we let evil to become stronger than us?' -Tauriel, 'The Desolation of Smaug' 4. 'I belong with my brother!' -Fili- 'The Desolation of Smaug' 3rd edition of this post! You can go back and read the first two if you want but ether way as a Middle-earth fan I pretty much can say for sure It's changed my life. Sorry if they're a little cheesy, I'm running out of ideas...sort of. 28. When you randomly talk in the voices of the characters of Middle-earth. 29. When you freak out and think its the best thing ever when scenes in other movies/tv shows mirror a scene in LOTR or Hobbit. (Like yesterday when I watched the end of the last episode of Sherlock season 3 and when seeing Sherlock and John parting I couldn't help but think of Frodo and Sam at the Grey Havens) 30. When a character in a different movie who played a character in LOTR says something that movie that could sound like it was from LOTR and you can't help but be proud that, that experience changed their life. (For instance when Orlando Bloom (Played Legolas in LOTR and in the last 2 Hobbit movies) as Will Turner (POTC) says 'There is still hope if there is one fool left to fight for it' sounds strangely like Gandalf's quote in ROTK: 'There was never much hope, just a fool's hope.') So, I've been thinking through all the lines I've memorized in LOTR and some are super deep and very memorable. The story in 'The Lord of the Rings' has a very good message and story of friendship, love and commitment. So here are my personal top 10 LOTR quotes and you can post your favorite whether it be on this article or not, but I'd love to see it! *Please note these quotes are actually in no particular order.* 1. But you're part of this world! Aren't you? -Merry, 'The Two Towers' 2 Then I shall die as one of them! -Aragorn, 'The Two Towers' 3. Even the smallest person can change the course of the future -Galadriel, 'The Fellowship of the Ring' 4 I would have followed you my brother, my captain, my King. -Boromir, 'The Fellowship of the Ring' 5. All that we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. -Gandalf, 'The Fellowship of the Ring' Continuation from the June 18th post. It holds the first 14 ways Middle-earth may have changed your life...here are MORE reasons! He he...I can relate to pretty much every single one. Here we go... 15. When you sneak up behind your friends and pretend to be Gollum. 16. When you see Posters of Middle-earth characters you can't help but want to fill up your wall withe the Fellowship and the Company. 17. When you hear someone insult LOTR or Hobbit you want to threaten them with Gimli's axe. 18. When you see or hear Middle-earth references in movies you can't help but jump up and down with excitement. 19. When you go to someone's house and see LOTR or Hobbit on their shelf you can't help but want to be their friend. Its a good enough reason...right? 20. When you see other people freak out about a new Hobbit trailer and realize your not alone in your insanity Was doing my daily checking of The One Ring and the Hobbit blog and found this interesting post on the One Ring. Looks like Sir Christopher Lee will be coming back as Saruman and fighting for the good guys this time. The staff you see Gandalf wielding in LOTR is actually given to him by Radagast after he loses his own staff by Sauron in DOS. We will also see Gandalf's meeting with Legolas and Tauriel in Dale (which will be awesome...maybe even Bilbo will be there...maybe! say yes! This footage is in The Hobbit blog 11 or 12) The list could go on. Check out the post for yourself. Defiantly worth the read! It'll hold us off 'til the trailer. Maybe... More will come!!! :D and give me ideas! -Rosie We fans have been waiting patiently for the first trailer to the 3rd Hobbit installment. And following the schedule of last year's first trailer release of Hobbit 2 (Desolation of Smaug) if the first trailer for Hobbit 3 were to come out the same day as the first trailer for Hobbit 2 it is almost a week late. So we're all wondering: WHERE ON EARTH IS THE TRAILER FOR THE THRID HOBBIT MOVIE???!!!!! This post on The One Ring might hold some answers for us. So heres a little of the post and read the whole thing on the Link at the bottom. Thanks again! Blessings. -Rosie I’ve been reluctant to weigh in on the “when is the trailer coming?” apart from putting in the occasional “soon”. But it kinda feels as though there’s a mob of very hungry dwarves piling up at the front door right now (and me without so much as a seedcake in the pantry), so we recently put out some feelers to try and gauge what’s going on. And, honestly, no-one knows for certain right now. That’s what it boils down to — it will come when it appears and as soon as we know, you’ll know. However, here is a summary of what we’ve learned...
