With less than two weeks away from the release date of this newest installment in the Zelda franchise I find it hard to believe we've finally come this close. After all the delays, waiting and much patience we're finally here at this moment. I keep telling myself...you've already waited three years for this you can last twelve more days!!
Ever since E3 back in the summer I've been so very hyped for the release of this game. It's been almost six years since the release of Nintendo's last large console Zelda game; Skyward Sword. And while there was a lot of anticipation for Skyward Sword on my part I have never been able to TRULY anticipate the next Zelda title before.
Breath of the Wild certainly gave fans hype anxiety and suspense as the title was delayed time and time again. Looking back on it I completely understand and I'm glad to say I wasn't one of the people who bashed Nintendo for it. Sure I was disappointed but I wasn't about to criticize my favorite game developers. Certainly they must have delayed it for a reason, so I sat back and waited patiently for any tidbit of info.

Once I heard that there was going to be live stream and E3 and the new Zelda title was going to be HEAVILY featured I marked the date and made sure that I watched that live stream.
And when the first ever true trailer for the game came up I had to contain my excitement (I didn't wanna seem like a complete maniac in front of my family cause if I had been alone I would have freaked out like a crazy person).
I was blown away by what I saw and while I had to warm up to the title a little, I now say it proudly and I think about it countless times each day. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was going to be epic amazing and SOOOO worth that three year wait I had endured.
In the new year of 2017 when the Nintendo Switch presentation arrived and a new Breath of the Wild trailer was revealed, I think it's safe to say--I completely flipped out. Not only had we FINALLY got a release date but also a trailer rich with story and characters both new and old.
Being the hardcore Zelda fanatic that I am I was elated to see the return of the Gorons, Zoras and Gerduo, and the recently revealed Rito. And Zelda in the trailer left me more awe-struck than I can even describe. I cannot begin to even IMAGINE what this game will hold.

We only have to do a little more waiting now, but it seems like this has been the longest leg of the journey since we're finally so close. And every day--no--every SECOND we get closer. I've been playing The Legend of Zelda my whole life but I think I'll have to pack a few extra fairies and potions to survive this great quest.
March 3rd HERE I COME!
Blessings,
Rosie
